Proverbs 24:16 – Falling and Rising Again
Proverbs 24:16
"For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes."
— Proverbs 24:16 (NIV)
Reflection
Falling isn't failure. It's part of the journey. God does not measure you by how often you fall, but by whether you rise again, turning back to Him. This verse shatters the illusion that righteous people never struggle. They do. We do. But we get up.
Insight
There is no shame in falling, only in refusing to rise. Your worth is not erased by your worst day. God's grace is big enough for your stumbles, your backslides, and your brokenness.
Gratitude
Father, thank You for lifting me. For not giving up on me when I fall flat. You are the God of second chances, and countless more.
Prayer
Give me courage, Lord, to rise. Again. And again. Let every fall remind me of Your mercy and faithfulness.
Realisation
Falling doesn't define me. Rising does.
