Silent Prayer: Speaking to God without Words

Silent Prayer

Not all prayers need to be spoken. Sometimes, it is difficult to put feelings into words. That's okay. God totally understands you and knows your heart better than you do.

Here's what to do. Close your eyes, clasp your hands in prayer, and silently feel what you want to share with our Father in Heaven.

If your prayer is one of gratitude, put a slight smile on your face. Incredibly, more often than not, that small act lifts your spirit.

If you sorrow or despair, there is no need to hold back. Let the tears fall as they may, and share your pain with Him. And may God's peace settle on you and comfort you. Amen.

"You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar."
— (Psalm 139:1-2, NIV)
